I get to be a stay at home mom and I'm blessed with my own little/big blended family that I prayed for God to give me for so long as a single mom that I can sometimes take for granted and complain about now instead of remembering I'm in the middle of what I prayed for .
It’s so easy for blessings to become burdens, isn’t it? I’m right there with you. So grateful for God’s Spirit’s gentle nudges to remember our joy and see His presence with us in the moment. 🤗
Learning to slow down and find joy right where I’m at even in the midst of difficult circumstances that haven’t changed. But God answered one of my biggest prayers last year. I left my job and get to be a stay at home mom. When I see my kids playing and their curiosity it makes me smile and I’m trying to pay attention to that more, to remember all the Lord has done for me. I have both books Delighting in Jesus and Uncovering the Love of Jesus and can’t tell you how much they’ve blessed my life.
The windows opened, the breeze and the birds outside, the sunshine, not having to use air or heat this time of year (money saver!) and God answering a 10 year prayer...new floors getting installed this week in our home!
I'm so glad you are continuing the discussion....after the book club. I've been loving the book Uncovering the Love....all during Lent. Here we are at Holy Week, and I hope you and your family are delighting in the readings and activities each day. I've shared the family activities with all the younger moms I know.....and they are eager to try them. Just wanted to stop by today to say I loved the monthly newsletter, and have loved doing the Prayer Dare too. Sending hugs for your day. Love from Kathie Zipf in PA
Hi Kathie! So lovely to "see" you here, and thank you for sharing how Uncovering is serving you. We're on road trip with our family, as I mentioned, so this Holy Week looks like no other, but I'm learning to lean into the new experiences and see the wonder of God's creation all around us, even if it's not our typical Lenten activities. Praying the Lord works in our hearts nonetheless, and I know He will.
My 5-year-old granddaughter saw a bunny on a paper plate with Happy Easter written in its ears. She asked me what it said. When I told her, she said, “That’s silly! Easter is about Jesus, not bunnies!” This brought joy to my heart that she knew what the real meaning of Easter is. ❤️
Hearing the birds singing always gives me joy. And seeing the sun shine makes me instantly smile. Being retired now, I get to listen, look, and enjoy the beauty so much more often.
Thank you for all your encouragement. Leanne's By Still Waters keeps going through my mind. As a great grandmother I am praying that all my grandson and great grandchildren will come to receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord. He will guide and be with them and give them joy and peace through all their lives. Good times and bad. God bless you and your great adventure.
Hi. Yesterday, I went crocus hunting with my horse and found some up on the hill. And then saw the little fox run by. And later saw a bluebird on the fence. Nature noticing.
I live on a little ranch in the foothills in Alberta.

Mine is for sure easy! Sunshine always brings me joy!!!! Brightens
Sunshine literally brings a smile to my face. Especially with so many cloudy days in Ohio. ☀️
I live in So. CA, so I love the rain. Rain always reminds me of how God takes care of us.
Isn't it fascinating how we are drawn to those weather patterns that are most rare for our geographic location? Some crave sunshine and others rain.
To be fair, I also love a good thunderstorm. Something about the flashes of lighting inspire awe and wonder at our Creator-God.
Have a safe wonder-filled 8 weeks!
We just returned from visiting my son, haven't seen him in almost 2 yrs! He's 32 yrs old, time certainly does fly. Enjoy each busy day💞
So glad you got to spend time with your son! I’m sure that was refreshing to your soul.

What a joy to be able to invest in your children more purposefully, Kristen! I love that for you and your kiddos! :)
And grateful to speak life and encouragement over you through those books. May every word point you to Jesus!
Thank you Asheritah, & what an honor to speak to you.
Yes, your words have. This Easter has been very different for me.
Have a wonderful, blessed Easter. ❤️
I enjoy my retirement life of peace with my precious husband. He’s a gift to me from the Lord.
What a gift our loving husbands are to us!

So much to be thankful for! Thanks for sharing with us, Rhonda! (The breeze on my face always feels like a caress from above.)

Rhonda, I love this picture! What an invitation to savor the wonder of our Creator all around us!
Yes these Foothills are beautiful, aren’t they?! Even after all of these years, the views from Okotoks here take my breath away. 🌄🏞️
